Fr Philip and 4 excited young pilgrims left Holy Ghost Exmouth in some style on Thursday 11th August. After a huge English breakfast they gathered their luggage and waited for their transport to Bristol Airport.
The boys have been fund raising for over two years and are grateful to everyone in the parish that has helped them.



On Friday 12 August from 6.00 pm, in the grounds of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Fore St, Exeter, the Thursday Lunch Club (TLC) will be holding a BBQ with bar, live music and dancing.
Fr Peter Burrows will be giving a talk on Bible Translation on Thursday 15 September at 7.30 pm in St Teresa's Hall, Connaught Road, Sidmouth. Fr Burrows is a biblical scholar trained at a Jewish seminary and at Harvard in the USA. He teaches at Allen Hall Seminary in London and has practised lay education in the Church for over 50 years. He has taught widely at universities, seminaries and institutes in the US and in the UK. Open to all.

For the community of the Holy Ghost Church in Exmouth and St Peter Prince of Apostles in Budleigh Salterton, the afternoon of the Sixteenth Sunday in ordinary time proved to be anything but ordinary, as parishioners and friends were transported into a wonderland of tea-time fun and games at their ‘Mad Hatter’s Garden Party’.
We duly met and discussion of The Slap revealed massive discrepancy between the positive recommendations found on the book jackets and the actual content of the book.
