‘The Way to God’ is the theme of our monthly Reflections hour on Tuesday 2nd August at 7.30pm. A time of quiet reflection, music and readings to give you the opportunity to step off the treadmill, to recharge and to refocus. Do join us.
A Home from Home by George Alagiah turned out not to be the easiest read. He chose to give us only snippets of his own life in this book, which is really all about immigration into Britain. More accurately, it is about the cultural impact of recent immigration where a benign policy of muliculturalism has unfortunately failed to produce the expected integration and instead encouraged the spread of separateness.
Our next Reflections evening, 'New Life in God', will take place on Tuesday 7th June at 7.30pm. Just an hour with Our Lord – take an hour out of your busy life and spend some precious quiet time enjoying music, readings and prayer.
On Sunday 10th July 2011 at 3pm there will be a celebratory Mass with Bishop Christopher at Buckfast Abbey, followed by refreshments and a family treasure hunt.
