The Breakout Café is open every Monday and Friday after school from 3.30 to 5.30 pm at the Open Door Centre, Church St, Exmouth. On Saturday 9th October 2010, at 7.30pm in Truro Cathedral, a free musical recital and lecture will be given by James MacMillan, described by The Telegraph’s respected critic Simon Heffer as "the greatest living British composer”.

To all pilgrims who have visited Rome with the Parish and and any other interested parishioners: on our return from Rome this year there will be a reunion on Friday 26 November in the Parish Hall.

This year's Winter Warmer  has a  James Bond 007 theme! If you enjoyed the recent 'Night at the Oscars' then you should put Saturday 20 November in your diary now. We will be partying again for the annual 'Winter Warmer' to raise funds for the winter fuel bills!

This continues to be Libby Purves season – a welcome change from the dark and deadly intensity of the Tudor court of Henry VIII. We read whatever came to hand from this intelligent broadcaster and journalist and were not dIsappointed with what we found.

The Catholic Women's League, Torquay, is holding an event to raise funds for this charity on Saturday 2 October at 11.00 am (after Mass at 10.00 am) at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Abbey Road, Torquay. An evening of presentations and performances by local musicians and artists, featuring Martin John Nicholls with Paul Field. Admission is free, with donations in aid of the Pakistan Floods Appeal.
