Finance Committee

In accordance with Canon 537 in the Code of Canon Law, every Parish should have a Finance Committee as a consultative body to help the Parish Priest in the sound administration of the temporal goods of the Parish.

At Holy Ghost, in addition to the Parish Priest, there are currently seven members of the Parish on this Committee. Meetings are held three or four times per year to review the current status of the income and expenditure of the Parish. Recommendations may be made, as appropriate, for the careful stewardship of the Parish Funds.

Annual Accounts are prepared, which are submitted to the Diocese and which are open for all to examine.

The Finance Committee is chaired by James Madden.
