For the community of the Holy Ghost Church in Exmouth and St Peter Prince of Apostles in Budleigh Salterton, the afternoon of the Sixteenth Sunday in ordinary time proved to be anything but ordinary, as parishioners and friends were transported into a wonderland of  tea-time fun and games at their ‘Mad Hatter’s Garden Party’.

We duly met and discussion of The Slap revealed massive discrepancy between the positive recommendations found on the book jackets and the actual content of the book.

We are looking for a suitably qualified or interested person to restart the Holy Ghost Cub pack. Please contact Fr Philip if you would be interested in helping to start a new pack for our children from Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton.

Catholic Children’s Society would like your stamps! Stamps from anywhere in the world, used or unused can be turned into cash to help the less fortunate children of our Diocese. Fill an envelope with stamps and send direct to STAMPS N ALL, Dept CCS-Plym, PO Box 83, Bude, EX23 0WY. If they are on envelopes or cards please leave about half a centimeter round the edges. Please don’t peel off stamps – it reduces their value.

The following Diocesan Catechetical Camps will take place this year:
Junior Camp (Years 3–6): 24–29 July
Senior Camp (Years 7–10): 31 July – 5 August.
The camps are held at Grangehurst, Buckfast Abbey.
